Looking for Version Control in CS5? Look no further!

First off, this is no permanent or best solution, however Adobe has released (for some time now as I'm late to post this) Drive 2 for those who have the option of working with a third party that provides a DAM server to connect to.

First off, this is no permanent or best solution, however Adobe has released (for some time now as I’m late to post this) Drive 2 for those who have the option of working with a third party that provides a DAM server to connect to. Hopefully a better solution will present itself soon as it seems a lot of us in the Adobe community are pissed off about there not being a Version Cue CS5. You can have a look at the Adobe Drive 2 via the link below. Hopefully it’s more help to you than it was to me. I still need a DAM system. (wink)

Further to this, I managed to come across another blogger who goes into more detail of Adobe Drive 2 and the process of getting it set-up and running.

Thanks a lot Jamie!!! it was exactly the info i was looking for !!! i’ve read several articles about subversion and git and stuff and i realized how difficult would be to implement any of them on mac os and more importantly, how difficult would be to get all work teams to actually use that tools

    thenk you very much!

    Hi Jamie!

i think there is a way to get the version control in cs5 with drive without signing for an adobe enterprise package/program, it is posible by using a DAM server called alfresco,The cmmunity edition is free, so, i’ll try it on the weekend and i’ll let you know.
