So, I'm quite late putting up this post however, after 3 weeks of waiting since my initial order, I finally received my custom made dress shirt from Blank Label. I'm happy to say that I was thoroughly impressed by it.
Have the right attitude as a designer is crucial to success. Sometimes the feedback that designers and artist get is that we are weird in some way or another. Being more right brained isn't a bad thing and it doesn't imply that we are any less capable of handling left brain responsibilities.
If you've ever thought (or still think) design is easy you may want to rethink that after this. Design, in my opinion, is more challenging than most realize and is more of a process rather than a visual exercise.
This is probably the least related to any of the topics that I normally go with, however being a former Scouts Canada kid I thought this was very interesting and IS design related. Fashion design that is.
There are many aspects to typography that it seems a lot of designers either are aware of, or choose to ignore. Although typography is a whole world of its own, it's important that we learn as much as we can about it because in the end it affects our designs and the impact on clients and customers a like.
